What is Integrative Functional Medicine?
Integrative Functional medicine is treating the root cause of your disease, not just focusing on throwing medications at your symptoms. Once the root cause has been identified, a personalized plan is put together that will help bring vitality back to your life. Not all practitioners of Functional Medicine are medical doctors as some could be chiropractors, nutritionists, or naturopathic doctors. At Lam clinic, our practitioners are licensed medical physicians.
What is the difference between conventional medicine and functional medicine?
Functional medicine builds upon the best of conventional medicine rather than rejecting it. Conventional medicine often focuses on naming diseases and using medications for every illness. Functional medicine takes a different approach. We view the body as one integrated system, not a collection of independent organs that is divided up by specialist. We treat the whole body, not just the symptoms.

When setting up your appointment, we will be requesting you to provide your insurance information to us so that we can check your insurance eligibility. In addition, please bring your insurance card and identification to every visit so we can calculate your deductible and copay. Please call your insurance provider to guarantee coverage. Do you accept insurance for telemedicine?
If you are located in the state of California, we accept Medicare and the majority of PPO plans for televisits. If you are out of state, we accept only Medicare. If you are out of state and have any other commercial insurances, we do not bill insurance for you, but do have a resource that can provide you support in helping you with that process for free. (Medical Bill Gurus). If you have commercial insurance, we can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your own insurance company. Patients typically need a private insurance policy with out-of-network coverage to secure reimbursements. A private PPO insurance policy is ideal to have a chance at securing insurance reimbursements, but the results vary from policy to policy and nothing is guaranteed based on a multitude of variables such as insurance carrier, level of coverage, out of network deductible, etc. To determine if you have an adequate level of coverage and benefits to potentially secure insurance reimbursements for treatments received at the Lam Clinic, we recommend you sign up for a free case evaluation with Medical Bill Gurus, where they will sit down to review your policy and go over the process. Feel free to give them a call at 1-800-674-7836 or email email@example.com to sign up for a free case evaluation.
